Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your relationship with the operator of the website located at https://crownmelbourne-au.com (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms as amended from time to time. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site. These Terms are effective as of 1 January 2026.

Definitions

  • "Loss" means any loss, damage, liability, cost, expense, claim or demand of any kind (whether direct, indirect, special or consequential) and whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), equity, statute or otherwise.

Account Registration

  • Password and security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your Account. You must:
    • keep your password secure and not share it with any other person;
    • use a strong password and change it regularly;
    • log out after each session when using a shared or public device; and
    • notify the Operator immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorised use of your Account.
  • Prohibited uses: You must not create an Account using a false identity, on behalf of another person without their express authority, or for any unlawful purpose. Multiple Accounts or automated registrations may be treated as misuse.
  • Account responsibility: To the maximum extent permitted by law, you are responsible for any use of the Site under your Account, whether authorised by you or not, unless the Operator has failed to implement reasonable security measures.

Limitation of Maximum Compensation

  • Cap on damages: To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except in relation to any liability that cannot be excluded (such as certain consumer rights under the ACL), the total aggregate liability of the Operator to you for any and all claims arising out of or in connection with the Site or these Terms is limited to:
    • the amount (if any) you have paid to the Operator for access to the Site or premium content in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
    • if no such amount has been paid, AUD $100.
  • No liability for gambling losses: In any event, the Operator will not be liable for:

    • if you have an Account, request closure of your Account in accordance with the Termination & Suspension section.

Termination & Suspension

This section explains the circumstances in which your access to the Site or your Account may be suspended or terminated, and the consequences of such action.

Grounds for Suspension or Termination

  • By the Operator: The Operator may suspend or terminate your Account or your access to all or part of the Site at any time, with or without notice, if:
    • you breach these Terms or any applicable law;
    • the Operator reasonably suspects fraud, misuse, harassment, or other improper conduct by you;
    • required to do so by law, by a regulator (including the VGCCC or Office of the Special Manager), or by a court order; or
    • the Operator decides to discontinue or materially alter the Site or any part of it.
  • By you: You may terminate your Account at any time by contacting the Operator at [email protected] and requesting closure. The Operator may require reasonable verification of your identity before processing such a request.

Procedure and Consequences

  • Notice: Where practicable and lawful, the Operator will provide you with reasonable notice of suspension or termination, stating (in general terms) the reason for the action and any steps you may take to address it. However, immediate suspension or termination may occur without prior notice where necessary to protect users, comply with law, or address serious misconduct.
  • Effect on access: Upon suspension or termination:
    • your right to access and use the Site and any Account-specific features will cease;
    • the Operator may delete or anonymise your Account information, subject to legal retention requirements; and
    • these Terms will continue to apply to any use of the Site prior to termination and to obligations which by their nature are intended to survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law provisions).
  • No funds held: As the Site does not hold player funds or process Bets, there are no monetary balances to be refunded by the Operator upon termination. Any outstanding matters relating to funds or Bets with gambling operators remain between you and those operators.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This section clarifies which laws govern these Terms and how disputes may be resolved.

Applicable Law

  • Governing law: These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Site, are governed by the laws in force in the State of Victoria, Australia, and, where applicable, the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia.
